Gerrie Germishuizen's Portfolio

Gerrie Germishuizen is the Chairperson.

The Property Committee is represented in the Deeds Office by Steinman de Bruyn, Martin Ferreira, Hannes Gouws, Amorie Le Roux, Vivette Louw and Patricia Nair.

In 2009 the property committee had monthly meetings with the Registrar of the Deeds Office, Pretoria and his personnel. There will be regular meetings with the Chief Registrar of Deeds in future.

Lengthy and sometimes very heated debates take place when dealing with for instance incorrect notes, rejections, circulars issued by the Deeds Office without discussion same with the Association, Township developments and notes made in respect of such developments, suspension of accounts, the filing of clearance certificates etc. All in all the committee is functioning well in pressurizing the Deeds Office, liaising with SARS and Town Councils in an attempt to smooth out all the problematic areas and ensuring that these parties implement good practices and keep by them.
