Alastair Smith is the Treasurer. Alastair works in close conjunction with Meintjies & Vermooten Auditors. The Association is a non-profit organisation. The organisation receives it funds via member fees and services rendered to the profession in the Magistrate and High Courts situated in Pretoria. From time to time donations are also received from other institutions, especially the Gauteng Law Council.
In the past the Property Committee has presented conveyancing courses and the funds generated as a result of those courses also contributed towards the cash flow of the Association. The expenses of the Association consist mainly of maintaining these offices situated at the Magistrate and High Courts.
Without the contribution of the members this Association will not be able to continue. Currently the membership fees are R199,50 per member per annum. The membership fees have not increased over the last seven years and therefore it is still an attractive proposition for attorneys to become members.
