The PAA has noted for several years that the number of Female entrants into our Noble Profession is disappointing and the retention of Female Practitioners further exacerbates the inequality in the Legal Profession. The PAA has also noted with alarm the generally poor results of candidates sitting the Attorneys Admission Exams.
The PAA has therefore, together with our partners, created the GHOSTPRACTICE FPAC training course to assist Female Candidates within the Tshwane Region to pass the Attorneys Admission Exams and thereby contribute to a more inclusive Profession.
The training will be presented to 20 candidates over four successive weekends from 16 July to 7 August by Natalie Macdonald Spence of Spence Learning (Pty) Ltd and will be at NO COST to the 20 successful applicants thanks to the generosity of our sponsors. We would like to thank the Professional Provident Society (PPS) for the use of their facility for our training course. In addition to the training on the four elements of the Admission Exams, we will also provide coaching on mental wellness and work readiness (including “CV writing, Interview skills, building a digital presence etc.) By offering such life and career skills, we hope to retain talent within the Profession. The exact programme of events will be communicated in due course. The course is limited to 20 female Candidate Attorneys, subject to an internal selection process. This Course is exclusive to members of the PAA but remember that membership of the PAA is free for Candidate Attorneys. All applications must be submitted before 12:00 on 30 June 2022 and no late applications will be accepted.
The course would not be possible without the sponsorship of GhostPractice and our deepest gratitude is extended to GhostPractice for their continued support.
The Application Form for interested candidates may be found HERE. Please submit the signed and completed Form to: ppv@ppv.co.za.
