2021-01-29Draft Legal Sector Code – Invitation for Comments
Dear Members,
The draft Legal Sector Code was published and sent to all members for comment.
The Legal Sector Code aims to transform the Legal Profession by applying minimum compliance thresholds in terms of ownership, management and skills development.
The PAA would like to submit comments on behalf of its members and is requesting any member who would like to contribute to send suggestions and comments to our admin office ppv@ppv.co.za for analysis and collating. The PAA will then send a formal letter to the Legal Practice Council on behalf of our members.
We have requested an extension of time from the Legal Practice Council for the submission of comments, which has been granted until the 12th of January 2021.
Your urgent attention hereto is therefore requested, so that we may timeously submit our response to the Legal Practice Council in the New Year.
